Friends of Yellow River State Forest 

Friends of Yellow River State Forest was founded in 2018. We are officially a non-profit 501(c)3.

Our Mission: To enhance Yellow River State Forest for public use while protecting the integrity of the flora, fauna, soil and water.

Anyone is welcome to join Friends of Yellow River State Forest by sending a check to Friends of YRSF, PO Box 171, Harper's Ferry, IA 52146 Memberships are: Individual annual-$10, lifetime- $100, Family- $25, lifetime- $250 (family members must live at the same address). Be sure to include names, address, email and phone numbers. You can also make a donation in any amount if you wish! 

What is a Friends group?
Friend groups are made up of dedicated volunteers who raise funds, make park improvements and otherwise give support. Across Iowa, these coalitions of concerned citizens work to improve, protect and preserve treasured natural resources.

Yellow River State Forest is a place for everyone in all seasons. Our friends group can help preserve it for the future by creating a way for people to donate directly to the park, and opens volunteer opportunities to get things done.

Goals:
* Be a voice for Yellow River State Forest
* Create public awareness of the recreational opportunities at YRSF
* Work in tandem with YRSF staff to accomplish common goals
* Organize volunteer opportunities
* Raise money for improvements at YRSF in agreement with our mission statement
